Why Should I Have Identity Theft Protection

The main reason everybody needs identity theft protection is you can't prevent your identity from being stolen. Your personal information is stored on databases and computers everywhere. Right from birth your information is stored in hospitals and doctors offices.

Here some Facts:

1)Young adults between 18 and 25, especially college students, are the most vulnerable group for identity theft, accounting for 29% of all identity theft victims. (2006 FTC Report) Here another reason why your children should have their identity monitored since birth. Your go to apply for a college loan only to find out that a theft has open an account in their name. Not only are they denied the loan but their left with a mess of try to restore there good name. Trust me this isn't the graduation present your child is looking forward too. The young are major targets becaiuse the theft can use that identity for years before its discovered.

2) There our more than 19,000 identites stolen everyday. One in four households will be a victim of identity theft. You are more likely to become a victim of identity theft than you are to be in a car accident or develop heart disease. (2000 Census; 2004 Bureau of Transportation Statistics; 2006 FTC Report). Most of us have car and health insurance. With these odds do you really want to go it alone when your identity is stolen.

3) 75% of the counties in the U.S. use social security numbers on public documents .
So much for keeping your social security number private.

4) 12% of identity theft victims end up with a wrongful criminal record. Can you imagine getting
being put in jail trying to prove your innocent form the crime.

5) Data theft is happening at an alarming rate from company and organization insiders. The average identity thief has an only 1 in 700 chance of being caught - pretty good odds if you're a bad guy. The total loss for all types of reported identity theft--both new account and existing account frauds is almost $53 billion dollars annually.
With these stats I posted I think I make it clear why we all need identity theft protection. I encourge you to look at the identity theft protection my company. It offers true identity theft protection for your whole family. We are putting 1 in 20 identity theif behind bars.
